Power of attorney for divorce, 1873
Sayyid Ni‘mat Allah, son of Sayyid Isma‘il, known as Shah Kuchak, gives power of attorney to Mirza Muhammad, the son of Mirza Muhammad Sadiq, to divorce his wife, Shah Bibi, the daughter of Sayyid Mahdi Shah Ni‘mat Allah, on his behalf after addressing issues regarding the mahr and the settlement of household goods and animals that his wife had taken.

The document reads, in part: "It is stated that Khanum Buzurg, the daughter of the deceased Muhammad ʻAli Khan [from] Dawdangah and the wife of Sayyid Muhammad (son of the deceased Sayyid Jaʻfar Razavi), has passed away. Her inheritors are two daughters and a son. She had inherited belongings (cows, sheep, and some properties) from her father. The mahr includes: five mans of copper worth three tumans and 5000 [dinars], 10 mans of kilims and felt worth four tumans, two outfits to be bought for five tumans, a third of the house where the groom lives in Tabas, a set of bedding for three tumans; and also these items, which remain the groom's debt: two tumans cash, five sheep worth two tumans and 5000 [dinars], an outfit to be bought for one tuman, and two mans of copper worth one tuman.
